The Jewell Fund: Restoring The Florida Monument

Expert preservationists from the Historic Preservation Training Center in Frederick Maryland were working in the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park this summer finishing up a repair project on the Florida Monument that has been in process for over a year. Experts were able to repair and reinstall the soldier’s sword and scabbard. Thanks to continued funding assistance from NPP’s Jewell Fund, these much needed and costly repairs to the Florida Monument were completed.
