SECC: Chickamauga and Chattanooga Conservation Crew (C4)
Each summer Chattanooga’s future park stewards and conservationists working with our partners at the Southeast Conservation Corps are assigned projects in the National Park to support and expand the workforce of the park’s staff. The C4 crew of high schoolers began working on the Brotherton Field in June rehabilitating the historical and natural landscape of this area by removing a chipped path from around the Brotherton Cabin, removing invasive plants and trees, and reconstructing a period correct fence line around the field. With the help of donor funds we are able to contribute financial support to keep the C4 Crew in the park each year.
